What Are Moles, Warts and Skin Tags and How To Get Rid of Them
The skin of human beings has several layers. These are known as dermal layers, and the tissue can have a variety of different elements along the surface. Some of these are known as melanocytic nevus. This is a lesion that is more commonly known as a mole. Aside from moles, the manifestation of warts, and skin tags can also be common. These are normally benign in nature, but can mutate and result in skin cancer. While this sounds bad, it's nothing to be too concerned about, unless a dermatologist determines that there is a major issue. In regards to warts, and skin tags, however, they can be removed, especially when warts are located on fingers, and other areas that are unsightly. Traditionally, they are not going to be too bad of an issue to deal with.
Understanding The Symptoms
There are a lot of different classifications concerning skin issues of this type. As for signs and symptoms, there are no painful elements, with the sole exception of some warts that can be closely tied with nerve tissue. More often than not, skin tags, raised moles, flat moles, and darkness around the skin showcase no major problems but have a visual element to them. They are usually round, and darkened through melanin changes. Most often they are cosmetic in nature.
In the case that they fade, blur, or have changes in appearance, a biopsy will need to be done. These are commonly simple procedures in which a piece of the skin is taken out to analyze. In a great number of cases, this proves to be benign in nature, with no major need for stress.
Root Causes
There are a lot of different factors to consider in regards to the root causes of why skin elements form. The major reason often cited is that of genetics. Genetics do play a role overall including elements of family history which can indicate cancer risk, etc. If cancer runs in the family, melanoma may be an problem to deal with.
Other root causes include obesity, exposure to sunlight, hormones, changes in diet, and other influences. While these may be causes, dermatologists can list other issues that could result in unsightly skin elements. Only a physician can truly provide an answer to the cause of moles and skin issues overall.
The Treatment Options
There are a lot of different ways that people can remove moles, skin tags, and warts. Most common is the removal of warts through freezing. Freezing the warts can help with having the tissue become isolated, and scraped off without much pain. As for skin tags and moles, lancing them can remove them, however, in the case of larger solutions that are raised, a deep cut may be needed.
A dermatologist can determine the root issue, and whether or not these elements need to be taken out. A simple scalpel and quick cut can help with removal. In the end, these are often removed for cosmetic reasons and not medical issues, however, there are some medical problems that can manifest if the tissue mutates.
