What Are Moles, Warts and Skin Tags and How To Get Rid of Them

What Are Moles, Warts and Skin Tags and How To Get Rid of Them

The skin of human beings has several layers. These are known as dermal layers, and the tissue can have a variety of different elements along the surface. Some of these are known as melanocytic nevus. This is a lesion that is more commonly known as a mole. Aside from moles, the manifestation of warts, and skin tags can also be common. These are normally benign in nature, but can mutate and result in skin cancer. While this sounds bad, it's nothing to be too concerned about, unless a dermatologist determines that there is a major issue. In regards to warts, and skin tags, however, they can be removed, especially when warts are located on fingers, and other areas that are unsightly. Traditionally, they are not going to be too bad of an issue to deal with.

Understanding The Symptoms
There are a lot of different classifications concerning skin issues of this type. As for signs and symptoms, there are no painful elements, with the sole exception of some warts that can be closely tied with nerve tissue. More often than not, skin tags, raised moles, flat moles, and darkness around the skin showcase no major problems but have a visual element to them. They are usually round, and darkened through melanin changes. Most often they are cosmetic in nature.

In the case that they fade, blur, or have changes in appearance, a biopsy will need to be done. These are commonly simple procedures in which a piece of the skin is taken out to analyze. In a great number of cases, this proves to be benign in nature, with no major need for stress.

Root Causes
There are a lot of different factors to consider in regards to the root causes of why skin elements form. The major reason often cited is that of genetics. Genetics do play a role overall including elements of family history which can indicate cancer risk, etc. If cancer runs in the family, melanoma may be an problem to deal with.

Other root causes include obesity, exposure to sunlight, hormones, changes in diet, and other influences. While these may be causes, dermatologists can list other issues that could result in unsightly skin elements. Only a physician can truly provide an answer to the cause of moles and skin issues overall.

The Treatment Options
There are a lot of different ways that people can remove moles, skin tags, and warts. Most common is the removal of warts through freezing. Freezing the warts can help with having the tissue become isolated, and scraped off without much pain. As for skin tags and moles, lancing them can remove them, however, in the case of larger solutions that are raised, a deep cut may be needed.

A dermatologist can determine the root issue, and whether or not these elements need to be taken out. A simple scalpel and quick cut can help with removal. In the end, these are often removed for cosmetic reasons and not medical issues, however, there are some medical problems that can manifest if the tissue mutates.

There are however a few alternatives you can look at in case there is no table available. For example, you can try using the floor, a bed or a couch.
2. Pour the massage oil on your palms
You need to start by using one teaspoon and this is roughly the size of a quarter. You can also rub it between your hands before actually applying it to a person. There are certain good oils to use like grape seed oil, coconut oil, almond oil and jojoba oil.
3. Spread the oil around
The technique of spreading the oil around is called as effleurage and this means light friction. You can use gliding movements in long or sometimes even strokes. Also use your whole hands and start the massage by moving them upward.
4. Use a Petrissage technique
A Petrissage technique is a one that uses a short ad circular stroke by applying more pressure when compared to effleurage. You can also think of this as a technique of kneading that can use pressing as well as rolling in order to enhance a deeper level of circulation. This technique can also use the fingertips, palm and knuckles.
5. You can also use the technique of muscle lifting
In order to perform this, you can close your fingers and also hold out the thumb. You need to apply all he pressure in a lifting motion and twisting manner. Also keep alternating your hands in a movement that can be described as a windshield wiper.

4 Vital Health Benefits of Massage

Over the years, people have embraced the fact that massages are not only good for relaxation and rest, but it has several other health benefits as well. Practiced over hundreds of years, this kind of therapy has always been the preferred choice for individuals who are looking to take the most holistic approach to maintaining their health.
Not everyone has ample time to go to a parlour or spa for a therapy session. Precisely for this reason, several new techniques have been introduced to make life easier for people. Now it's not necessary to go to a parlour to enjoy such therapies. Chairs have been introduced with fully automated controls to help you relax and remove all your ailments.
Some of the major benefits of such treatments through a chair are:
  • Eliminates health problems: Be it headaches or back pains, this kind of therapy is the best option for you. More often than not, people resort to painkillers in these scenarios but the truth is that they are not good for your health. A recent survey has proved that holistic therapies are the far more effective in eradicating health problems than any pill or medicine. Also, when it comes to osteoarthritis, there is nothing better than this therapy. Sessions of one hour every week is enough to remove the stiffness in your joints.

  • Prevents lactic acid from building up: Most people are already aware of the fact that these therapies help enhance blood flow inside the body which in turn decreases the build up of lactic acid within your body. Due to the repeated compression of muscles, the vessels will pump the blood in and out which will remove toxic substances from your body. If you have physical exertion, this kind of therapy can significantly reduce the fatigue.

  • Relief for cancer patients: Massages are a great supplement to medicines which are used to treat cancer patients. Not only will it provide relief but it will also reduce the symptoms of cancer. By strengthening your immune systems, it will prevent relapses, nausea and fatigue. But its benefits are not just limited to physical aspects as these therapies can also help in relieving anxiety and depression.

  • Decreases blood pressure: Due to the immense pressure everyone is subjected to these days; it's normal for people to have high blood pressure. These therapies can come in really handy if you want to reduce the level of blood pressure.
Be it any health problem that you are suffering from, nice long sessions of such therapies can be extremely beneficial to you. But not expect to get all rejuvenated just after a single session; you need to be regular in order to reap its benefits.

The Modern Purpose of Yoga

When one mentions "yoga", many images may be conjured up. Perhaps you get an image of flower children from the 60's sitting in a circle with their legs in impossible positions chanting "Ohm" around a huge candle in a poorly lit room. Yoga is an ancient art that has been practiced for centuries. Over the years, it has risen in popularity as a way to stay fit, get in touch with one's inner self, and keep a balance of sanity in a sometimes insane world. Yoga is the most diversified spiritual practice in the world. Crossing over many cultures (including Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and the West), Yoga also extends over multiple languages such as Hindi, Tibetan, Bengali, Sanskrit, Tamil, Prakit, Marathi and Pali. The Yogic tradition continues to proliferate and spread its message of peace to this very day.
Many scholars believe that yoga dates back over 5,000 years to the beginning of human civilization. Scholars believe that yoga grew out of Stone Age Shamanism Initially, the sole purpose of practicing yoga was to experience spiritual enlightenment. In Sanskrit (the ancient language of India), yoga translates as "yoke" or "union," describing the integration of mind and body to create a greater connection with one's own pure, essential nature. Classes that have gained popularity in the United States usually teach one of the many types of hatha yoga, a physical discipline which focuses mainly on asanas (postures) and breath work in order to prepare the body for spiritual pursuits.
No longer is yoga a mysterious phenomenon. It is now simply a way to keep you healthy and aligned. Now relax and read on as we explore yoga and meditation.
WHAT IS YOGA?
As we have said, yoga is an ancient Indian philosophy that enhances personal growth and well being. Although it is a systemic philosophical approach, yoga is not a religion, but complementary with most spiritual paths. The physical aspect of Yoga (Hatha Yoga) use poses and focused breathing, requiring concentration and discipline. The result is a greater union of mind, body and spirit. Anyone, regardless or body type, age, experience, or physical abilities, can practice yoga.
Yoga is a tool for gaining body-mind awareness to enhance whatever spiritual/religious beliefs you have. A yoga session will leave you felling energized and relaxed. You will work your muscles and will properly align your bones; you will breathe deeply, oxygenating the lungs and blood; you will experience true deep relaxation.
By bringing awareness to the body, and working the muscles, you are able to more deeply relax them then from any other form of exercise. You will gain a deeper appreciation of your body and mind through yoga in a way that no other exercise program will.
Yoga increases flexibility as it offers positions that act upon the various joints of the body including those joints that aren't always in the forefront of noticeability. These joints are rarely exercised, however, with yoga, they are

4 Essential Subjects to Have in Your Yoga Teacher Training Course

Are you well-versed in yoga basics but meaning to go into the heart of this age-old meditation and wellness discipline?
A teacher training course in yoga will be perfect even if you are not entirely sure of taking teaching it professionally. But when choosing such a course, remember to check whether some key subjects are being included.
The primary difference between yoga classes held on a daily basis and an approximately one month-long yoga teacher training is-the degree of immersion.
While the former demands a few hours of your daily time and basically asks you to imitate and remember the postures done by your teacher, a teacher training course guides you on a journey inward with classes on a wide range of yoga subjects. While asana practice remains a big part of the curriculum, a standard 200 hour yoga teacher training offers the most important yoga subjects-
Meditation: The word "yoga" refers to union.
Feeling the divine in and around you and becoming one with it is the primary goal. Perfecting your asana skills will mean nothing if you cannot achieve a unity between conflicting forces in your mind. To achieve this, meditation is important.
To improve your personal yoga practice, choose a 200 hour yoga teacher training that offers meditation classes. Acquire the skills to attain mindfulness while doing your asanas and with continued intensive meditational practice, there will be mindfulness in whatever you do.
Pranayama: Pranayama refers to breath control- an important part of yogic discipline. Pranayama teachings are all about channelizing the "prana" or life force in the right direction. Pranayama is also believed to rid the body of toxin or "disturbing energies" which block the "light of consciousness".
Select a 200 hour yoga teacher training course which devotes enough time to breathing exercises and also teaches the yogic aspirant to synchronize breathing with physical movements of the yogasanas. Continued practice of "watching the breath" will clear your mind and greatly sharpen your consciousness, thus increasing your mental capacity.
Mantra: The spiritual aspect of yogic practice is accompanied with pronouncements known as "mantra". A mantra is a sacred verse or an impactful sound. Mantras are chanted to create auspicious energy and center the mind around it as a meditational exercise. The thought behind the power of mantra relates to the concept of "dhwani" or energy from sound.
A mantra needs to be pronounced correctly to produce the activated sound vibrations. Therefore, check for mantra classes conducted by experienced teachers knowing Sanskrit when selecting your 200 hour yoga teacher training course.
Relaxation Techniques: Yoga can ensure more than physical fitness, it prepares the body for a relaxed state with an alert, thinking mind. Sessions of rigorous physical exercises must be followed by relaxation techniques to de-stress the body by inducing a sleep-like condition for some time.
This particular relaxation technique is called yoga-nidra or yogic sleep. During this phase, the body goes into rest while the mind stays fully conscious and is able to think with clarity. Pick a 200 hour yoga teacher training curriculum including "yoga-nidra" besides asanas

The Millennial Backpacker - Traveling Light

You're on a budget, or flying a discount airline with carry-ons fees, or taking public transportation. Of course the best thing is to take a backpack. A backpack; isn't that limiting? Even if you're staying at a hotel or with relatives, the idea makes sense and here's why:
1) Instead of lugging suitcases and roll-ons from the airport, you can save money taking local transportation, and henceforth from place to place.
2) As a stranger, you're less conspicuous without a suitcase. Hands free and sights ahead, you're less prone to pickpockets or pandering.
3) Keeping track of less in a strange place is freeing; you're not rustling through things at a hostel, or bothering others when arriving at midnight.
4) Too many clothes accumulate as dirty laundry, cluttering your suitcase, and your life further into your trip.
5) With too many things you spend more time on appearances, instead of the experiences and learning you hope to find.
Yes, backpacking simplifies, creating a more relaxing trip. But the secret to success lies in the planning. Evaluating your real needs, everything you pack becomes multi-purposed or interconnected.
Take your clothes. How many do you need? As a tourist, you don't see the same people daily, and your travel mates aren't there to judge. So bringing the minimum will suffice, (especially when hostels have laundries-close relatives too).
I recently returned from a 7 night trip to Costa Rica. We flew Spirit so the free backpack was limited to what could fit under the seat. Still, I had enough room with my school size pack. And with my leave behind method (more later), I had space to take home 2 bags of coffee too.
Here's what I took: 1 pair of jeans 2 pairs of shorts `1 pair of swim trunks
5 t-shirts 1 long sleeve shirt 1 thin rain jacket
6 pairs underwear 4 pairs of socks 1 thin (souvenir towel)*
1 pair flip flops plastic sneaker covers, toiletries, a water bottle, and a small fabric grocery bag.
I stuffed things into the pack, no PJ's, extra shoes or anything else. Of course I also had the clothes that I was wearing- I wore the bulkiest. I rolled things tight, securing with rubber bands or plastic in bags. By the time I finished, I had a fluffy pillow, but one that pushed adequately under my seat.
We arrived in San Jose late and took a cab to our hostel. In the morning I transferred my shirts and flip flops to the fabric bag. Four of us traveling by rental car, there was plenty of room. As we continued on our journey through the days, my pack became lighter and lighter. I was leaving things behind, rather than storing them as dirty laundry. Yes, the leave behind method is what I learned from a friend.
All of us have clothes wearing thin, or not the most attractive, socks with holes, or fraying underwear. Why not save them for your next trip? As the days went by I parted with them one by one, shorts, shirts, underwear, extra toiletries and finally the towel.
I flew back with my rain jacket, swim trunks, water bottle, some toiletries- and my coffee. At the airport I looked the student simply on a day trip.
So think about it, next time you have that urge to fly across country. Save yourself some hassle and money. Take a backpack; it's so much easier

Compare Travel Rates For Your Dream Vacation

Travelling can be costly because there are so many things that need to be taken care of. It gets even costlier when you are taking a few people with you for your dream vacation. However the costs should not be a hindrance for you to finally enjoy the kind of vacation you have been dreaming of. There are so many things you can do to reduce your travel costs without necessarily affecting the quality of your vacation.
One of these things is to compare the travel rates. Service providers are very many and they make it possible for you to plan for your vacation with ease. On the other hand, there are platforms that make it easy for you to access the service providers and even compare their travel offers and packages so you are able to select what works for you best. When you compare travel rates, you increase our chances of finding cheap and affordable rates to make your dream vacation come true. With the right platform you can compare a number of travel elements including the following.
Airfares - Flight rates tend to be major considerations when travelling. Your destination will of course determine the rates that you get to and from. But with a few considerations and flight comparisons you can find affordable, comfortable flights to your destination. To reduce airfare, you can take advantage of travel deals offered by the airlines, use new or less popular airlines that offer discounted rates or even take advantage of last minute flight deals. A good travel site can help you get access to such offers and deals so you are able to cut flight costs to your chosen destination.
Hotel rates - You cannot forget your accommodation when going on a vacation and it is actually advisable that you have your hotel room booked before you even travel. Comparing hotel deals gives you a chance not just to find a good hotel that meets your expectations, but a hotel whose rates you can afford throughout your stay. Longer hotel stays tend to be cheaper than shorter ones, but you definitely will find a package that works for the needs you have during the vacation. One good way of way of saving on hotel accommodation costs is sacrificing some amenities and carrying a few necessities with you instead of having them provided by the hotel.
Car rental rates - When travelling to a destination you are not very familiar with, it is best that you have a reliable mode of transport to all areas and spots you wish to enjoy during the vacation. Car rentals make this possible and you can get a rental complete with a driver to make moving easier for you. Fortunately, you can find a travel package that comes to car rental included to make things easy for you. When you have everything worked out, you can start enjoying your vacation as soon as you land at the destination without any inconveniences and last minute rushes.

Is Yoga for Life?

In a recent Globe newspaper interview an instructor says, "tai chi is the only thing you can do for the rest of your life." Not true!
Yoga that respects your current health and fitness levels is a practice that spans a lifetime: An intelligent yoga practice adjusts with you and with the challenges that life throws your way. Yoga can work powerfully when done according to your body and breath: it does not require great strength or flexibility... but it can build those for you.
Traditionally, a yoga practice is developed for each individual - for their specific health and fitness levels and taking into account any other circumstances. However, we are much more familiar with group classes and indeed a group could provide more spirit and encouragement. Yet having a small number per yoga class is important... and to some extent, the make-up of that group should dictate the yoga content.
Pain, and any aggravation at all in a yoga practice means that it's actually not yoga. A yoga practice works within the boundaries of limitations and by respecting the body's messages, it can very gradually move our boundaries.
Also, we learn to leave our demanding / ambitious / competitive spirit at the door and we bring to the practice as much of our mind's focus that we can. Then, a good yoga session helps the mind to focus on the movement so that the seemingly unceasing thoughts abate... and we can find equanimity for a little while. Over time, that equanimity builds in the practice and outside of the practice.
We don't always know if and when we will need more strength or balance, yet if we practice appropriate yoga for our circumstances, we are building those potentials well. And since yoga can be adapted for any stage of life, we can always be empowered to make a difference for ourselves.
When searching for the ideal yoga teacher or yoga class for you, the following criteria will help to discover the yoga that will support you through life: one that is adaptable for all of your circumstances.

  1. Do you feel welcome and valued
  2. Does the teacher understand how to modify all of the postures in the class
  3. Do you feel good doing the yoga, especially once you are familiar with it
  4. For the most part, is your breath steady and smooth during and after the class
  5. Do you feel refreshed or depleted... no beneficial class will leave you depleted
  6. Is there attention to the function of the posture as well as the form
  7. Is there a way to develop a personal practice from what is learned in the class and from the teacher

If you can breathe, you can do yoga. If you want to do the yoga, it will benefit you.

Benefits of Yoga Poses For Weight Loss

Yoga has all around benefits on the human body and mind. Yoga has different meanings, one of which is balance and here it means the balance between body and mind to bring about a calming influence and endow you with quiet energy. There are dozens of various asanas in yoga.
Some will stretch muscles; others will address the vital organs and glands; some will take care of the skeletal structure; some will improve the functioning of central nervous systems while others will improve circulation. When it comes to yoga poses for weight loss this gentle form of exercise can actually help burn calories. This is because yoga actually brings about internal balance and improves metabolism that in turn helps burn fat as well as improve digestion and absorption of nutrients.
Some of the recommended asanas are setu bandhasana, naukasana, vakrasana, bhujangasana, shirshasana, sarvangasana, halasana and utthita hasta padangustasana. If you look closely, there are a certain sequences to performing each asana. Some are difficult such as sarvangasana (shoulder stand) and dhanurasana or bow pose.
You have to start in a particular way and go step by step. Once you achieve the final position, you have to hold it for a certain duration or for as long as you are comfortable. Then one must reverse the sequence. This is not all. Breath control is also of importance.
This is why yoga gurus always recommend that you do not try asanas by reading books or going online. It is much more beneficial to join any of the top yoga schools to get maximum benefit from yoga for weight loss. If you do it wrong, you could actually sustain damage. This is why it is essential to go for yoga training, the home of Yoga.
When you join a yoga training course in the top yoga schools you will receive personalized training. You are first assessed for your physical condition and for the medical condition because certain asanas are forbidden for those with health or medical issues and the yoga teacher decides which of the over dozen asanas will give maximum benefit for weight loss.
There are various institutes for yoga training. Yoga is not just physical exercise; it is also a state of mind as you will find when you undergo yoga training from top yoga gurus.
Mind controls body and body pose helps mind gain balance and calmness. More, breath control is included in the yoga program along with yoga mudras and practices such as nauli, which only an experienced yoga instructor can impart.
All of these revitalize body's functions and help in weight loss far better than strenuous exercises and crash diets. Such programs do not have far-reaching benefits whereas yoga does. It not only helps you shed weight but also sets you up for an empowered, calm and energized life.

Open Air Summer Yoga Classes on the Island of Guernsey

The Bailiwick of Guernsey, situated 90 miles south of the UK and 30 miles west of France, is an island with a lot going for it, beautiful beaches, warmer temperatures then the UK, and now, open air Yoga classes in locations that would be hard to beat for view and beauty.
Our first venture into this idyllic way of spending a few hours was situated on the headland over-looking the stunning Port Soif bay on Guernsey's west coast, with the promise of a magnificent sunset to top it off, I was really looking forward to discovering Yoga in the island.
When we decided to participate in this class, we were asked to bring a Yoga Mat, but as I did not have one, I had to borrow one from our Yoga leader who had plenty to spare just incase the class was going to contain any Yoga newbies such as me.
Before the Yoga class was to start, we were asked if we had any ailments or sporting injuries, this was so our Yoga leader could customise the flow of the class to suit everybody's needs.
There are not many words that can describe the view at Port Soif where the first of our Yoga classes was to take place. Looking out onto the beautiful beach with its white sand, red glowing granite sides and the perfect blue ocean right in front of us, you have to see it to believe it!
We started as our leader guided us through a slow flow series of asanas (postures), and then we lay back (in Savasana) for a guided relaxation with the sun on our faces, and the rich grass of Port Soif Common beneath us.
The Yoga class was fantastic and very well organised, and after we had finished stretching and moving into positions I could never of imagined, we were feeling a little hungry. Luckily, to make our beach Yoga evening even more special, a local kiosk on the beach stayed open late especially for our class, and offered a great selection of food and drink to watch the sun go down with.
We were so struck by this evening on the headland that we decided to see if we could attend any other outside events, we were delighted to find out that their were two more Yoga classes to be held in the great Guernsey open air over the next couple of weeks. Of course, we booked, and the second event was even more beautiful.
Castle Cornet, a large medieval castle built on Guernsey's famous sea front was the next location for one of these magical evenings.
We arrived at the castle on a beautiful clear evening and made our way to the top lawn for a very special Yoga pop up class. The stunning panoramic views surrounding the castle are not to be missed if you ever visit here. It was great to hear that our Yoga leader had a backup plan should the Guernsey weather fail us, but as it happened, the night was as calm and peaceful as I felt after the class had finished. After, we sat back and sipped on a nice cup of herbal tea that we had purchased from another one of Guernsey's famous kiosks, and watched the Bailiwick of Guernsey slowly fall to sleep.
One week later we attended another Yoga Class at a location called the Vale Castle. Practicing Yoga over-looking the spectacular scenery towards Herm and Sark (the smallest islands of the Bailiwick) was the end to a perfect couple of weeks on the Island of Guernsey.
Since returning home, we have already booked a return to the island next month for a weekend long Yoga Camp on Guernsey's beautiful east coast.

4 Stretching Exercises You Can Do With a Yoga Wheel

One of the newest trends in yoga is the yoga wheel. But what is it, and how do you use it?
From assisting you as you learn new yoga poses, to deepening stretches, to creating new balance challenges, the yoga wheel has something to offer everyone. It's versatility makes it great for general stretching and exercise as well, so you don't even have to be a yogi to reap the benefits.
The yoga wheel is a great tool for stretching to relieve pain and improve flexibility.
Most people experience tightness and in their chest, shoulders, and back. The size and shape of the yoga wheel is perfect for helping to open up these tight areas for a more relaxed body. You can use these stretches to prepare for your yoga routine, or to improve recovery time and keep muscles limber after any strenuous workout.
Here are 4 simple stretches you can do to relieve tight muscles:
Shoulders & Upper Back

  • Kneel on the floor with the wheel in front of you, and place hands on wheel with palms facing toward each other.
  • Keeping back, hips, spine and neck aligned in at line, extend arms until you feel a stretch in upper back and shoulders.
  • Relax and breathe deeply, extending further on the exhale further when ready to deepen the stretch. Hold for at least 20 seconds.

Chest Opener

  • Sit on the floor with the yoga wheel behind your back.
  • Lightly place hands on yoga wheel to stabilize yourself as you press up through your heels, pressing your back against the wheel.
  • Rest hands lightly on the ground at your sides to support your balance as let your neck and head rest back comfortably against the wheel.
  • Once balanced, slowly extend legs out straight in front of you and arms out to sides, so body is in a "T" position, and hold for 20-30 seconds.

Back Extension & Massage

  • Sit on the floor with the yoga wheel behind your back.
  • Lightly place hands on yoga wheel to stabilize yourself as you press your lower back against the wheel, lifting hips up off the floor
  • Extend arms behind you, then roll backward slowly, relaxing your head and neck. Roll until hands touch the floor, bending at the elbows. Continue rolling as far back as is comfortable for you.
  • Then, bend knees and drop hips to roll forward, keeping arms extended behind you.
  • Continue to roll back and forth slowly, stretching your back through a full range of motion.

Legs & Hips

  • Kneel on the floor with yoga wheel 2-3 feet in front of you.
  • Carefully set one heel on the wheel, then extend leg forward until straight.
  • Place hands on the ground for support. Breathe and sink deeper into the stretch on each exhale.
  • To advance, lift hands up off the ground and onto hips or into the air, or straighten your back leg so that the front of your thigh is closer to the ground.

Yoga for Weight Loss When Yoga Outruns the Treadmill

Yoga for weight loss is not an uncommon term now. As it earns worldwide acceptance and recognition, people have been ditching the treadmill and opting for Yoga routines in order to maintain the healthy weight.
The best aspect of Yoga is that even the simplest of poses and practices are capable of making your weight loss journey smoother. There are people who have been practicing Yoga for a number of years and have never had to worry about weight related issues.
Yoga enables you to melt fat without sweating it out in the gym. Instead of lifting heavy weights and running continuously on the treadmill, you are supposed to be at peace with yourself, calm your mind and practice simple postures. Such is the mystery of Yoga.
Moreover, Yoga helps one in maintaining their desired levels of weight and body type. There are no sudden ups and downs to be seen on the weighing scale.
There have been comparative studies where two groups of people started with their weight loss journey simultaneously but the group that practiced Yoga fared better than their non-Yoga practicing counterparts.
The theory behind this is that Yoga enables positive changes in the mind which trickle down to changes in one's behavior. When both these things happen, the body automatically becomes more in sync with the mind and soul. It works in a loop until the body's shape and size is altered.
It's a well-known fact that stress results in unhealthy diet and "emotional eating". When you practice Yoga daily, your brain curbs your reaction to stress and you make healthy eating choices. And even when you do eat something unhealthy once in a while, you no longer feel guilty or become upset.
The prime goal of practicing Yoga for weight loss is to exercise control on the mind and body and quit obsessing about meaningless and worrisome aspects of life.
When you become happy and calm on the inside, it starts showing on your body. In fact, a Yoga routine not only helps you consume lesser calories but also ensures that those calories are consumed and stocked up at just the right places, preventing fat accumulation at places where it is not desired. By reducing cortisol levels, Yoga also makes reducing belly fat much easier than regular methods.
Restorative Yoga where a particular Yoga pose is held constant for a longer time (usually on a yoga mat on the floor), has shown to render even more positive results.
They key lies in Yoga's focus on breath and body, while increasing mindfulness. Thus, throughout the day your mind is in tune with your body and you eat only when you are truly hungry

New Hairstyle Design Tips Mistakes Youre Doing When Straightening Your Hair

Who doesn't love sleek hair? It is neat, elegant, shiny and never fails to be trendy. In addition to that, it is one of the easiest and fastest hair-dos that you might attempt to have at home. All you need to do is put your flat iron on and work it through the strands. Yet, with all its benefits, comes along a serious problem represented with burnt fried ends. And why is that? Because you probably did some mistakes while straightening your hair. In this article, we will provide you with new hairstyle design tips to avoid further damage by avoiding these mistakes and fixing them with reliable steps that keep your strands healthy.
First Mistake: Not Prepping the Hair
When applying the hot tool directly on your hair without protection, there is no way your strands can hold on to the moisture it is enriched with. They are left dry and damaged. That's why it is really important to rely on a treatment that keeps the strands hydrated and protects it from the heat. You can always go to argan oil that nourishes and restores health.
Second Mistake: Keeping the Temperature Really High
No matter how much you slather on leave-in treatments, your hair won't be protected if the temperature of the flat iron is really high. Besides, the high temperature won't help in getting sleek hair faster or better; it'll just help in damaging your hair even worse. Set the temperature on medium level; it will be effective enough to make your hair really sleek and tidy, without causing dryness.
Third Mistake: Blow Drying When the Hair is too Dry or too Wet
Before you use the flat iron or the hair straightener you use the blow dryer to blow your hair. You have to know that when you use it on wet hair, you expose your hair to much heat, and when you use it on dry hair, you cause dryness. The optimal time to blow dry the hair is about to dry, but is still wet. When doing so, avoid using metal brushes that become really hot and help in drying your hair.
Fourth Mistake: Blow Drying in a Wrong Direction
Yes, there is a right way to blow drying. When you blow dry your hair in the wrong direction, your hair breaks and looks frizzy. The right way to hold your blow dryer is aiming it downwards. This way, your strands will fall towards your shoulders.

This is a condition called alopecia where there is the partial or complete absence of hair where they should be. Most people seek treatment for hair loss and then for most it will regain its thickness while for others it may take a while. Hair grows in three different cycles whereby it has time to grow, time to stop and let the hair follicles shrink and then the process starts again. Hair growth is different in all women, and some will have long hair, others short and the growth time also varies with it being estimated that the hair grows about 6 inches per year for most people.
Each day, women lose about 50 to 100 strands of hair and about 250 strands if the hair is washed. It is normal for the hair loss as it ensures that new healthy hair does grow. However, some women experience much hair loss and at an alarming rate, and the it becomes thinner and eventually falls off leaving patches on the head. The loss of hair is noticeable when they comb it out, as it is left on the comb and is larger than the normal, or you could wake up and see a significant amount of it on your pillow.
It is good to get treatment for loss of hair so as to know the causative factors. Various reasons would cause the hair to fall out and the common causes include:
· Some medication taken will have an adverse effect on the body, and one of the effects includes hair loss. An example is the chemotherapy drugs used for cancer patients.
· Medical conditions will also affect the hormone levels in the body, hence they become imbalanced. Such as anemia, pregnancy, thyroid disorders polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), psoriasis and seborrhea dermatitis.
· Genes- if you have some relatives, such as a sister, mother or grandmother who have had this kind of problem, then it is likely for you to have hair loss. This condition is called androgenetic alopecia, and it is hereditary. It is a common condition for many women in the world, and it happens to women of different ages from the teenagers to the older women in their 50s and 60s. It happens that instead of the hair growing back healthier when it shades off, the new hair is much finer and thinner hence breaks off easily. The follicles will also shrink and with time hair stops growing.
· Infection on the scalp such as ringworms, where they attack the skin and hair on your scalp and cause scaly patches and loss of hair. If you get treatment, the hair grows back.
· Chemicals and hairstyles that women put on their head cause hair to fall off. The use of hot oil treatment will cause inflammation of the hair follicles hence hair loss. When you put excessive force while plaiting or tying your hair, it will cause traction alopecia.
· Stress
· Physical trauma like intense illness or, accident or surgery
· Sudden loss of weight
· Taking too much vitamin A supplements.
Most of the above hair loss causes are irreversible, and once you seek treatment for hair loss, you are assured of a healthy hair growth and one of the treatments includes taking herbal supplements. The herbal supplements have various benefits to the scalp and hair follicles such as:
· Opening up the hair follicles and improve the blood circulation

Important Things to Know Before Going for a FUE Hair Transplant

While facing the problem of male pattern baldness, you will come across lots of potential hair restoration choices. However, it is recommended that individuals should make inquiries and do in-depth research as possible. Numerous answers can be achieved by visiting the hair transplant surgeon. Here are some FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions), which are related to FUE (follicular unit extraction). Have a look.

  • What Is FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction)?

FUE or Follicular Unit Extraction is a hair transplant technique in which the hair transplant surgeon extracts hair from the donor area 1 follicular unit at a time. Usually, the donor area can be between anywhere like at the back and sides of the scalp. This helps to include better quality hair either from above the neck or behind the ears. This extracted hair is then embedded into the area on the scalp which is facing the problem of baldness.

  • How FUE Is Done Step By Step

  • The patient is asked to lie down on a specially made operating bed.
  • Anaesthesia is administered.
  • Under a magnifier, a device and needle are utilised, to extract the required number of follicular units from the head.
  • Follicular units are kept in a chemical solution until the extraction is finished.
  • The patient is then asked to sit up and then the anaesthesia is administered into the area where the follicles are meant to be placed.
  • In the recipient area, cuts are made by using customised blades.
  • Follicular units are implanted into the cuts by the hair transplant surgeon.
  • The surgeon gives detailed guidelines of after care.
  • You'll be prescribed antibiotics and a few pain killers which you have to consume as recommended by the surgeon.

  • How Long Is The Recovery Period?

You should know that in FUE hair transplant surgery, minimal invasion in the skin is made, which requires no stitches, staples, or dressing. Therefore, the recovery time period is usually quite quick, sometimes even quicker than you could imagine. The donor area ought to heal in 1 week, and the hair will start growing again by the 2nd week post hair transplant surgery. The area where hair is implanted will drop all scabs inside 2 weeks, but it is common that the shedding process may proceed in the area for 8 weeks.
  • When Will The Hair Starts Growing Normally Again?

After the hair transplant has been performed successfully, it will take around 4 to 6 months for the new hair to grow and this growth will continue even after a year until the new hair becomes thick, healthy and fully mature, blending elegantly with the surrounding natural hair.
